Bollywood dancer-turned-actor Raghav Juyal, who will be seen in thriller cop drama Gyaarah Gyaarah, spoke about the wonderful time he had shooting with Salman Khan.
Raghav was seen with an ensemble cast in Salman Khan's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisiki Jaan. In an exclusive interview with MoneyControl, Raghav revealed that they had fun shooting with Salman bhai.
He said they shot at his Panvel farm, and he also enjoyed horseback riding and would also eat with Salman Khan.
We asked him how his experience of shooting with Salman Khan was, and Raghav told MoneyControl: "Very good. It's it's; it's almost like an amusement park to work with him. Life is full of fun; bhai (Salman Khan) ke sath, life is full of adventure. I mean, I lived and stayed on the farm for 2 days. And I had the most amazing time of my life. I did horseback riding and then buggy riding and everything. It was like I'm I felt like a child again."
Raghav added that it was the same time that he was simultaneously shooting for his negative role in Kill when he had those fun times as Salman Khan's Panvel farmhouse.
"Even even during the shoot, you know, you, unki bohot hi achi achi aadtien hai wo sath baith kar khate hai. Wo sabke sath baith kar jo unke actors hai tent me baith kar daawat lagti thi, and we would eat together. And aur ek achi adat hai unki—shoot par hi nahi balki, shoot ke baad bhi mazze karate hai, shoot ke baad party hoti hai. Mere liye bada mazedar raha woh safar. Raat ko mast hum party karte they, acha khate the aur subah mast goggles pehen kar shoot pe jaate the. Aur ussi ke dauran meri Kill film chal rahi thi. Ek taraf itna dark tha or dusri taraf thoda light mahaul," he further added.
Raghav spoke with us about his role in Gyaarah Gyaarah, also where he plays a young cop, Inspector Yug. He said it wasn't Kill but the role of Yug that actually shook him up.
Raghav had said 'iss role ne meri being hila di thi.'
Raghav said during this struggle period of five years when he was trying to make a mark in Bollywood, his parents were always by his side. They had trust in him and wanted him to give it his 100 per cent.
"Mere parents ne bohot sath diya hai iss baar bohot sath diya hai sabhi ne mere mummy ne papa ne it’s because of them, I got support. I got this support, and they said, 'Do it.' Tune pehle bhi kiya hai, they believed in me; tune pehle bhi kia hai ye, and we were not with you. I mean, during your 12th boards, you had to go for the audition of DID. You know, you've done that. We were not there with you, but you proved this time also, and you will prove. So this was very heartwarming for me when they told me," he said, beaming with joy.
Raghav is now constructing his dream house back in his hometown, Dehradun. His latest show Gyaarah Gyaarah is also based in Dehradun.
While talking about his dream roles, Raghav said he wants to do roles that 'intrigue him.'
"Characters jo mujhe intrigue kare, I don't want to play characters jo bohot hi hero ho matlab; it can be a hero, but it has to be character-driven then. You know, it has to have some story. Like, I just saw Maharaja. You know? And I think on Netflix. And and all the editing, the direction, the narrative—everything is the hero, I think, for the film. And And I wanna do films like these taki mere marne ke baad bhi meri filme aise dekhi jaye jaise Dileep saab ki film dekhte hai toh Dilip saab, he looks he feels alive to his film. Yeah. So this is what I want to do. I want to do something that really lifts the story, not the hero or the image of the hero, to be honest," said Raghav.
Raghav had won accolades for his negative role in Kill. He will be seen as an investigative cop in Gyaarah Gyaarah, where he is seen with Kritika Kamra and Dhairya Karwa.
