Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is still set for its December 5 release. However, in an unexpected turn of events, it has been reported that the Hindi version of Pushpa 2: The Rule will not have midnight shows on December 4 as originally planned.
In another unexpected turn of events, the film's 3D version will no longer be available on the release day. Initially, the film was scheduled to be screened in 2D, IMAX 2D, and 3D formats across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
According to sources reported by Bollywood Hungama, the 3D version of Pushpa 2: The Rise is not yet ready, prompting the filmmakers to delay its release. As a result, the film will be available only in 2D across the country and internationally on December 5, in multiple languages.
The source further shared, "The makers have now decided to release the 3D version next Friday, that is, December 13. By then, the 3D prints would be ready. The exhibitors all over have been informed about this development."
An industry insider, speaking to Bollywood Hungama, expressed regret over the situation, acknowledging that such issues are sometimes inevitable. They highlighted the producers' efforts, noting that the team worked hard to finish the film more than a week before its release and completed the Censor process last Thursday. The insider also praised the makers for their effective marketing strategy, which managed to generate excitement among audiences despite the challenges faced, especially with the film's release in five languages.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, is set to delve deeper into the intense world of Pushpa Raj. The highly anticipated sequel stars Allu Arjun in the lead, with Rashmika Mandanna returning as Pushpa's wife, Srivalli. Fahadh Faasil also reprises his role as the formidable police officer Bhanwar Singh, promising to bring more intensity to the narrative.
