Murder Mubarak’s Yaad Aave and Bhola Bhala Baby set the tune for the whodunit

Two songs from Murder Mubarak are out now. The film drops on Netflix today.

One of the most awaited films of 2024, Murder Mubarak releases today on Netflix and promises to serve viewers a delectable whodunit on the OTT platform.

Based on Anuja Chauhan’s (also known for writing The Zoya Factor, Battle For Bittora, Those Pricey Thakur Girls) novel, Club You To Death, set in Delhi at a prestigious turf club, this one follows an enthralling narrative about a ruthless murder.

With a delightful ensemble cast featuring Pankaj Tripathi, Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karishma Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Tisca Chopra, Suhail Nayyar, and Tara Alisha Berry, this Dinesh Vijan murder-mystery production has been directed by Homi Adajania. With music being an important part of all OTT films and series, the makers ensure that the film also gets its original music by Bollywood composer duo Sachin-Jigar and hindi film song writer Priya Saraiya.

Interestingly, the songs in this film have also been in the news almost as much as the film’s promos. One of the first to release, the captivating track Yaad Aave showcases the first-time screen pair Sara Ali Khan and Vijay Varma. It gives us a glimpse of the tumultuous love story that unfolds between these actors and shows the audience a spark of their chemistry.

Sung by Sachin-Jigar, Simran Choudhary and Varun Jain with rap parts sung by The Rish, this composition by Sachin-Jigar has been written by Priya Saraiya and is a heart-wrenching, slow and melodious love song.

Sara Ali Khan took to Instagram to co-share with Zee Music Company about the song, “To love or not to love, ye sawaal hi toh bas unki yaad dilaata hai. #YaadAave song out now!” (sic)

The second, a jazzy club number, Bhola Bhala Baby also garnered love.  The song has been composed by Sachin-Jigar and sung by them along with Shilpa Rao (known for superhits Besharam Rang, Chaleya, Malang, Tere Hawale, Kaavaalaa), and shows a lot happening on screen in the background while a singer croons on the mic.

Going by the songs and the trailer, there seems to be a lot in store for the audience in this murder mystery.
