‘Bigg Boss’, India’s most-watched reality television phenomenon, is gearing up for a groundbreaking return with its 19th season. Hosted once again by Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, the upcoming season promises to set new records in terms of duration and drama. According to recent reports, Bigg Boss 19 is set to become the longest-running season in the show’s history, extending well beyond the usual three-month format.

As per a report from Pinkvilla, the makers are planning to run the season for an unprecedented 5.5 months — from July 30, 2025, until January 2026. This extended format marks a major shift in the show’s traditional schedule, which typically begins around September or October. The strategic decision to start early and stretch the season appears to be a move to maximize viewer engagement and deliver more twists and turns than ever before.

One of the major shake-ups this year is the absence of Bigg Boss OTT, the show’s digital spin-off. With the OTT version being skipped in 2025, all eyes will be on the main show airing on television. Bigg Boss OTT, launched in 2021, featured its own set of dramatic moments and unique contestants, with Karan Johar, Salman Khan, and Anil Kapoor serving as hosts across different seasons.

Salman Khan will also be filming the promo for Bigg Boss 19 by late June, setting the stage for what is expected to be an explosive season. Known for his candid takes, humorous banter, and hard-hitting questions during the Weekend Ka Vaar segments, Salman has been the face of the franchise since Season 4. With Bigg Boss 19 marking his 16th season as host, his continued association remains a key draw for viewers.

Fresh faces are expected to join the Bigg Boss house this season, though the final contestant list is still under wraps. The extended format may also allow for mid-season twists, wildcard entries, and new tasks designed to keep both the contestants and viewers on their toes.
If everything goes as planned, Bigg Boss 19 will not only entertain for a record-breaking duration but may also redefine the dynamics of Indian reality TV. Fans are already buzzing with excitement, and expectations are sky-high for what could be the most ambitious season yet.
