Netizens seek 'ban' on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent after Ranveer Allahbadia's crass comment: "This crap show should end..."

The latest episode of India’s Got Latent has stirred controversy again, this time over a crude remark by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps, prompting backlash and calls for the show’s cancellation.

The latest episode of Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent has once again landed the show in controversy, this time due to a crude remark made by popular YouTuber and podcast host Ranveer Allahbadia, also known as BeerBiceps. The incident has sparked significant backlash, with many netizens now demanding the show's immediate cancellation.

The controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent continues to escalate, adding to the show's mounting troubles. Already under scrutiny for weeks, the latest uproar stems from an inappropriate remark by BeerBiceps, which has only fueled public outrage and intensified calls for its cancellation.

During an interaction with contestant Jessy Nabam, BeerBiceps posed a highly controversial question, asking whether they would rather witness their parents having sex for the rest of their lives or participate once to put an end to it. The shocking nature of the question left even host Samay Raina momentarily stunned, despite his own reputation for dark humour.

The remark faced widespread criticism for its vulgarity, sparking a wave of reactions across social media. One netizen wrote on X, "This crap show should end. Sex jokes, vulgar language, racism, North South hate etc is being showing in the name of Dark humour. Ban India's Got Latent." Another X user said, "This ' India's Got Latent' has been normalizing abuse , sexual objectification , hatred in the name of humour and Comedy."


A netizen also urged immediate action against the show and wrote, "@ReheSamay show ‘India’s Got Latent’ promotes vulgarity and abuses, tarnishing our culture. Such content has no place in our society @MIB_India we urge you to take immediate action and ban this show.#BanIndiasGotLatent."

According to ANI, a complaint has been lodged against YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, social media influencer Apoorva Makhija, comedian Samay Raina, and the organizers of India’s Got Latent. Filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission, the complaint accuses them of using abusive language on the show and demands strict action against those involved.

Previously, the show faced backlash for mocking actress Deepika Padukone’s struggle with depression after a contestant made a joke about it.
