Bollywood actress Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor's relationship was one of the most talked about in the entertainment industry. The couple were married for around 40 years until Rishi Kapoor’s death.

However, Neetu Kapoor recently posted on her Instagram Stories a throwback black-and-white photo of herself with Rishi Kapoor, reflecting on her engagement.

Alongside the photo, the actress wrote, “Was engaged on this day in 1979… time flies... " and included a sad emoji. The couple looked stunning as they smiled for the cameras.

Previously, Neetu Kapoor revealed that she was in a relationship with Rishi Kapoor while filming the 1980 film Karz as she celebrated 45 years of the movie. She shared a video featuring several glimpses of the recent cast reunion on Instagram and wrote, “Some memories get even better with time.”

The actress added, “The Karz reunion was beautiful and evoked so many special moments from such a beautiful chapter of my life. Thank you for the beautiful comments and love! It’s wonderful to note that #Karz touched a chord in your lives too.”

For the unversed, Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor formed a strong friendship during filming Zehreela Insaan in 1974 and soon started dating. The couple tied the knot on January 22, 1980, in a lavish Punjabi ceremony at the Golf Course in Chembur, Mumbai, which was described as one of the biggest weddings of the year.

On the work front, Neetu Kapoor was last seen in the 2022 film Jug Jugg Jeeyo, alongside Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. The film marked her comeback to the film industry following her hiatus after her husband Rishi Kapoor's death. Her next film was Letters to Mr. Khanna.
