Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Akhanda 2 to release on December 5: Report

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much-awaited Akhanda 2 is now in its final stage of shooting. The film was originally set to release alongside Pawan Kalyan’s OG, but due to production delays, the makers had to push it back.

In a recent press meet, Balakrishna confirmed that the film will hit the screens in December.

According to exclusive reports from Telugu123, Akhanda 2 is expected to release on December 5. The teaser of this high-octane action drama has been attached to OG prints, with the release date revealed at the end.

In an official statement, the production company had previously announced the film's postponement and celebrated Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu's reunion.

Some of the most memorable scenes in Telugu cinema have been produced by the pair, who are credited with reinventing mass action cinema.

The statement read, “Akhanda 2 brings back the blockbuster combination of the ‘God of Masses’ Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu, a pair celebrated for creating legendary mass entertainers in Telugu cinema.”

It further added, “We are fully committed to exceeding expectations and delivering a theatrical experience worth the wait. Akhanda 2 will not just be a film, it will be a festival of cinema.”

The film features Samyuktha as the female lead, while Aadhi Pinisetty plays the main antagonist. Child actor Harshaali Malhotra, remembered for her role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, will be making her Tollywood debut with this project.

Produced on a grand scale by Raam Achanta and Gopinath Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, the film is presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri. Music is composed by Thaman.
