Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 gets postponed; makers to share a new release date

Fans of Balakrishna have been eagerly waiting for the release of the much-anticipated Akhanda 2. But as many in the industry expected, keeping the fact that there were not many updates, people behind Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda 2 have officially pushed back its release date. The movie was supposed to come out on September 25, but it has been pushed back, and there is no new release date yet.

The production company put out a statement defending the choice, saying that they needed more time to do re-recording, VFX, and other important post-production tasks. The crew told fans that the delay is meant to improve the movie-going experience and promised that the final product would be better than they expected, especially since the Balakrishna–Boyapati Srinu combination is so well-known.

It's interesting that this relocation also makes room for Pawan Kalyan's OG, which is set to be out on September 25. Some people think that Akhanda 2 might be out over the December holidays, although the people who made it haven't confirmed a new date.

The movie is a sequel to the 2021 popular fantasy drama Akhanda. It brings Balakrishna back together with director Boyapati Srinu after one of the biggest hits following the pandemic. The first part, which included Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu, and Srikanth in important parts, was a hit with people of all ages and backgrounds, proving that Balakrishna is a star.

Four years later, Akhanda 2 is projected to have a huge opening at the box office because of all the buzz and high hopes. The preview that just came out has just made everyone more excited, promising yet another huge show.

SS Thaman wrote the music for the movie. He is back to score the soundtrack after his work on the first part, which was a big hit.
