Nagarjuna praises Kuberaa trailer editing

Trance of Kuberaa, the recently released teaser for the film, has created a lot of buzz online thanks to its captivating images and moving soundtrack, drawing in both fans and critics.

Stars Nagarjuna Akkineni and Dhanush gave powerful performances in the teaser, which was notable for both its content and its superb editing, which was done by 25-year-old Sushruth Chilakapati.

The young editor's work has drawn widespread praise, including high praise from Nagarjuna himself, who revealed during a media interaction that the teaser was put together by an alumnus of Annapurna College of Film and Media, an institution founded by the Akkineni family.

Recalling his reaction upon first seeing the teaser, Nagarjuna said, “When I first watched the teaser, I was blown away. I remember asking, ‘Who cut this? What a fantastic cut!’ It had such finesse, such storytelling rhythm – it was difficult to pull off something like that, especially a teaser that builds entirely on a song and still conveys a whole story. I later found out that the person behind it was a young man named Sushruth, an alumnus of Annapurna College of Film & Media. I was genuinely thrilled"

He went on to say, “I was so proud. We had met before, but I hadn’t realised he’d go on to do something so impactful," adding that he had spoken to his wife Amala Akkineni, who serves as the Director of the college, about Sushruth’s achievement.

Nagarjuna also credited director Sekhar Kammula for the creative vision behind the teaser. “It was a full-circle moment for me as both an actor and the founder of the college,” he remarked, expressing pride in the film’s early success and the talent nurtured by his own institution.

In the meantime, Nagarjuna will play a villain in Lokesh Kanagaraj's eagerly awaited Rajinikanth film Coolie. The action movie is slated for release on August 14, 2025, and is anticipated to include a cameo by Aamir Khan. Although an official confirmation is still pending, there are also strong rumours that Nagarjuna is connected to Jailer 2.
