Fans are raving about the first teaser for Naagin 7, which was released by Balaji Telefilms. The tone was set right away by the teaser, which was posted with the enigmatic caption, "Karne dushmanon ka kaam tamaam, woh aa rahi hai lene intekaam (She’s here to finish off the enemies’ work, coming to take her revenge)" It was enigmatic, intense, and full of promise.

A green snake was seen scuttling across the screen during the teaser, which ended with the announcement that Colours Channel's Naagin 7 would be arriving soon. It's the ideal teaser for franchise fans, leaving them wanting more.

But amidst all this excitement, actress Nyra Banerjee has shared a surprising decision — she’s turned down a role in Naagin 7. Nyra, who many know from Bigg Boss 18 and Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, also earned praise for playing the grey-shaded lead in Pishachini. Ekta Kapoor noticed her talent and reportedly wanted Nyra to play the negative lead in the new season.

Yet Nyra decided not to take it. In a heartfelt chat with Film Window, she explained why: “I don't want to play a grey-shade character. It's not that I'm under pressure to survive. I stay in Mumbai. Mujhe na rent ka chakkar hai aur kuch... All my cousins are here, so I'm not desperate enough to do anything and everything under the sky. I can take a break. I can explore other opportunities and platforms. I have that space. Having said that, it also gives me the freedom to choose my roles. So if it is Naagin positive (character), I would have done it. Because it's negative, I don't want to typecast. I would rather leave that, but I will not do it.”

It’s refreshing to hear an actress speak so openly about wanting to avoid being boxed in, especially in a show known for its larger-than-life villains.

Meanwhile, the casting chatter continues. Names like Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankita Lokhande, and Isha Malviya have been linked to the show. While some have denied it, reports suggest Isha Malviya and Vivian Dsena might be stepping into lead roles — but nothing’s official just yet.

Naagin has had an incredible run, with stars like Mouni Roy, Tejasswi Prakash, and Hina Khan lighting up previous seasons.
