SEVENTEEN fans were taken aback when the group announced a revision in the price for their deluxe album '17 Is Right Here'. The initial cost announcement had sparked controversy due to its perceived inflation, prompting the group to address the issue. The revision came as a response to what SEVENTEEN described as miscommunication regarding the
album's pricing, aiming to rectify any misunderstandings and ensure fairness to their devoted fanbase.
The deluxe version of '17 Is Right Here' was highly anticipated by SEVENTEEN's dedicated followers, who eagerly awaited its release. However, excitement turned to disappointment for many fans when the group initially revealed the album's price, which was significantly higher than expected. This sparked concerns and backlash from fans, who voiced their grievances over the inflated cost, citing affordability issues and questioning the reasoning behind the sudden
price hike.
PLEDIS Entertainment has thus stepped in to clarify the situation surrounding SEVENTEEN's deluxe album '17 Is Right Here', explaining that it was originally intended as a limited-edition release. However, during the production phase, the focus shifted towards making the album more inclusive to a broader audience. As a result, alterations were made to both the album's content and pricing, ensuring accessibility for all fans.
PLEDIS Entertainment also issued an apology, attributing the pricing discrepancy to an operational error where the incorrect price was communicated to retailers, leading to the pre-change price being displayed on sales pages. They assured fans that the corrected lower prices would be implemented on websites by 5:00 pm KST, or 1:30 pm
IST. Additionally, they stated that fans who had already made purchases would be contacted by retailers to facilitate refunds and place new orders.
'17 is Right Here' includes 33 tracks with four new additions which are MAESTRO, LALALI, Spell, and Cheers to Youth.
