Singer and lyricist Palak Muchhal has now saved the lives of 3000 children fighting heart ailments through her fundraiser ‘Saving Little Hearts.’

Muchhal shared a video of a little boy named Alok coming out successfully from a heart surgery. She thanked the people for their prayers for Alok in the caption and was overjoyed at the fact that her fundraiser had managed to reached 3000.

She wrote, “And 3000 LIVES SAVED! Thank you for your prayers for Alok! The surgery went successfully and he is absolutely fine now!”

As per reports, the singer has been smoothing the path for surgeries since she was seven years old.

While reflecting on her journey, she said, "When I started the mission, it was just a small initiative that a seven-year-old me took back then, and now it has become the biggest mission of my life. I still have 413 kids on my waiting list. Every concert I do is dedicated to the heart surgeries of children whose parents cannot afford the expenses. It feels like a responsibility. I am really happy that God chose me as a medium to do this.”

She recalled her first fund raising project, “The first mission I took up was by raising funds was for Kargil soldiers. I went shop to shop and sang Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon and ask shopkeepers to donate something for Kargil soldiers. My brother, Palash and I sang on the roads for the first kid who came to us for help. Ever since then every concert that I have done has been dedicated to facilitating heart surgeries.”

"When I didn't have work as a singer for film music, I would sing for three hours and collect donations for just one kid. As my songs started becoming popular, my fees increased. I would make money with which I could fund 13–14 surgeries with just one concert. So, I continued it. I have always seen singing as a medium to be able to bring a change in society,” she added.
