On June 7, BTS’ Jungkook released his new single, 'Never Let Go', dedicated to his fans as part of the special content for FESTA 2024, celebrating the group’s 11th debut anniversary. The song has quickly garnered significant attention and achieved remarkable success on global music charts.

By June 8, 2024, it was reported that Jungkook’s 'Never Let Go' had reached the top spots on iTunes charts in 100 countries, including the United States. The track also dominated European iTunes charts, securing the number one position in countries such as Italy, Germany, France, and more. Additionally, it topped charts across various regions in Asia, demonstrating Jungkook’s widespread international appeal.

'Never Let Go' is a part of FESTA 2024, a two-week celebration leading up to BTS’ 11th debut anniversary on June 13, 2024. FESTA has been a long-standing tradition between BTS and their fans, known as ARMY, where the group releases new content such as music, videos, and fan interactions to commemorate their debut.

Jungkook debuted as a K-pop idol with BTS in 2013, alongside Jin, RM, Jimin, J-Hope, V, and Suga. Over the years, BTS has become one of the most influential and successful K-pop bands in history, breaking numerous records and achieving global fame.

Currently, Jungkook is on hiatus to fulfil his mandatory military service in South Korea. He enlisted in 2023 and is stationed in the 5th Infantry Division of the Republic of Korea Army. He is expected to be discharged around 2025, along with other BTS members, paving the way for a full group comeback.

Despite his military service, Jungkook’s thoughtful gesture of releasing 'Never Let Go' has deeply touched fans. The song, dedicated to ARMY, highlights Jungkook’s continued connection and appreciation for his supporters. Following the release, Jungkook shared a heartfelt message on Weverse, expressing his sentiments and regret for not being able to perform the song live due to his military commitments.

In his message, Jungkook wrote, “ARMY, did you receive my song gift well? I hope you like it. I worked on it thinking about you from the beginning. Actually, it's a song that I wanted to show you along with a house genre dance. It's a performance song. But I didn't have time to perform it. Too bad. If I could turn back time, I would have shot it somehow."

He added, "So please understand that part, and that's why I'm posting like this! I'm blaming myself. Anyway, it's already our 11th debut anniversary. Thank you for always being with us. I hope you don't get sick and stay healthy. It's really hot in the summer, so be careful of the heat! Goodbye then."
