In an interview with Zoom, he emphatically confirmed his presence at Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding. Expressing his pride and affection for his daughter, he stated, “Tell me, whose life it is anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter, Sonakshi, whom I am very proud of and immensely fond of. She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I?”

He further emphasised that Sonakshi has every right to choose her partner and plan her wedding as she wishes, reaffirming his full support for her decisions.

Sonakshi's brother, Luv Sinha, too, took to social media to address the ongoing discussions about the wedding. On his X (formerly Twitter) account, he posted, "Dear friends in the media. I don’t post cryptic messages. When I have to say something I’ll clearly say it."
