Kiara Advani to represent India at 'Women in Cinema Gala Dinner' at Cannes

Bollywood star Kiara Advani is geared up to make her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The ‘Kabir Singh’ actress will be representing India at the Red Sea Film Foundation's Women in Cinema Gala dinner at Cannes 2024.

Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma, Sonam Kapoor, and more, have graced the Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet in fabulous outfits. The eagerness to see Kiara Advani walk the festival’s red carpet for the first time is through the roof. The icon has an incredible fashion sense and the fans absolutely can’t wait to see what she has in store for the event.

The Gala dinner will be hosted by Vanity Fair. It will bring in 6 women from different parts of the world to honour and celebrate their contribution to the entertainment field. Vanity Fair also reported that there will be a panel discussion held at La Plage Des Palmes on May 18. The discussion will be on global incentives and filming. The ‘Shershaah’ actress will be participating in the Red Sea International Film Festival panel too.

Kiara Advani has been in multiple well known projects such as ‘Lust Stories’ and ‘Good Newwz’. The actress rose to fame after playing the character of Preeti in the romance action film ‘Kabir Singh’.

The actress will next be seen in the upcoming action flick ‘Don 3’, directed by Farhan Akhtar and will star Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as the lead.

Advani spoke to ABP News and revealed that it was a conscious decision to star in an action movie to change the image the public had created for her.

The actress said, “I think this was a conscious decision. I wanted to do something different. I wanted to change it up for myself. This was one genre I was longing to get myself to do, change the vibe, change the way I have been perceived so far. That’s what is exciting, right? As an actor, you are constantly stepping into different characters and making the world believe that this is what you are. There will be a lot of prep for the film (Don 3). I have got time to do that and I am very excited. I have never done an action movie. Now is my time to do some action.”
