Actress Mouni Roy is celebrating Onam with stunning photos and videos. The actress wished her fans ‘Happy Onam’ and paid a tribute to Kerala's rich cultural heritage.
The actress took to her Instagram and shared a series of pictures celebrating Onam. She penned in the caption, “Happy Onam to all celebrating #home.”
In the pictures, Mouni looked elegant as she sported the traditional white saree with a golden border with a sleeveless blouse. She looked South Indian Sundari, and completed her look with a golden wristwatch, a gajra, large golden jhumkas, and red lipstick.
Mouni also shared a picture with her mother in a similar look. During the festivity, she was also spotted enjoying traditional cuisine. She also gave a close-up look at the food.
Several celebrities, including Allu Arjun, Mohanlal, among others, have wished their followers on Onam.
For the unversed, Onam is typically linked to the myth of the kindhearted Asura king Mahabali, who formerly ruled Kerala and made an annual pilgrimage to his subjects. Through the grand Onam Sadhya (feast), traditional dances, boat races, music, and intricate flower arrangements (pookalam), Onam, which symbolises abundance, harmony, and cultural heritage, brings families and communities together.
On the work front, Mouni Roy was last seen in Salakaar, a gripping political thriller inspired by the life of one of India’s most respected intelligence officers, Ajit Doval. Directed by Faruk Kabir, the film premiered on JioHotstar this Independence Day, August 15.
