Mouni Roy reacts to trolls slamming her for 'hiding' her botched cosmetic surgery with bangs: 'I feel very pitiful...'

The Bhootnii actress slammed the trolls in her latest interview with Zoom, stating that she feels pity for people spreading negativity online.

Recently, Mouni Roy showed off her new hairstyle, which includes bangs. Netizens, on the other hand, are not taking it well, and she has been the target of trolling because they think she is attempting to conceal her botched cosmetic surgery with her bangs.

The Bhootnii actress slammed the trolls in her latest interview with Zoom, stating that she feels pity for people spreading negativity online.

Responding to all the people trolling her for her new look, she said, "Initially, when I read those comments… till date, sometimes I see those AI videos, and suddenly you feel… it’s so cringe, you can’t… and it’s yourself, right? Imagine how you feel looking at somebody else. And when I see my face distorted over other people’s bodies, it’s disgusting, right? So sometimes you do feel like, where are these kinds of people going… What do they want to achieve with it? What is the aim? Because all you are collecting are people’s curses and bad wishes. Nobody can wish well for someone who’s doing that."

Online rumours of alleged cosmetic surgery sparked buzz when the actress debuted a new look with fringe at the trailer launch for her upcoming movie, The Bhootnii. Numerous AI-generated videos that are making the rounds on social media show her with notably elevated eyebrows and accentuated cheekbones, which only serves to increase the buzz.

She said she felt sorry for people who, in an attempt to attract attention, hide behind screens and post hateful content online. She recalled her early Instagram days, when she would visit the profiles of these users and block them.

On the work front, Mouni Roy will be next seen in The Bhootnii, starring alongside Sanjay Dutt, Palak Tiwari and Sunny Singh in key roles. The film is set to release on May 1.
