Mandira Bedi welcomed her daughter Tara into the family through adoption in July 2020

Bollywood actress Mandira Bedi recently celebrated five years of adopting her daughter, Tara Bedi Kaushal, with an emotional social media post. On Monday, the “Saaho” actress shared a touching video capturing the precious moments of Tara with her and their family members. The heart-warming clip features Tara enjoying outings, laughing, and posing happily, along with a heartful opening scene of her chanting "Om Shanti Shanti”.

Captioning the post Mandira quoted “Five years ago, a little tornado of sunshine twirled into our lives… and we’ve been smiling (and chasing her) ever since! Thank you Tara, for coming into our lives Talu Palu, you’re all heart, all sparkle, and ALL ours and we love you more than you can imagine!! #LittleMissSunshine #HomecomingDay."

For those unfamiliar, Mandira Bedi welcomed her daughter Tara into the family through adoption in July 2020 when Tara was four years old. Along with her late husband Raj Kaushal, Mandira had gone through a nearly three yearlong adoption process. The actress has spoken candidly about their heartfelt journey, including the early struggles particularly as her son Veer needed time to adapt to having a little sister.

It was October 25, 2020, when Mandira introduced her daughter Tara on social media platform for the first time. Sharing her family pictures, she wrote “She has come to us Like a blessing from above Our little girl, Tara. Four years and a bit with eyes that sparkle like stars Sister to her Vir Welcoming her home With open arms and pure love Grateful, thankful. Blessed Tara Bedi Kaushal."

Mandira Bedi's husband, Raj Kaushal, passed away due to a heart attack on June 30, 2021. In an emotional Instagram post, the actress shared that she and her kids continue to honor his memory daily.
