Kajol starrer mythological horror thriller, Maa, has performed well at the box office and added decent numbers to its collection. The film has now become Kajol’s first to nearly reach to Rs 20 crore mark.
According to the trade website Sacnilk, Maa earned around Rs 2.25 crore net in India on its fourth day, taking the total to Rs 19.90 crore net in India. However, the film registered an overall 12.67% Hindi Occupancy on Monday, June 30, 2025, with 6.97% morning shows, 14.46% afternoon shows, 14.20% evening shows and 15.05% night shows.
Kajol starrer performed quite well on its first three days as well. The film opened with a decent note and collected Rs 4.65 crore net in India. The film slowly witnessed a surge in its box office collection, and Rs 6 crore on day 2 and continued its momentum by adding Rs 7 crore net in India.
Maa is giving strong competition to the pan-India film, Kannappa, as it has registered Rs 2.50 crore net in India on its fourth day for all languages.

However, Maa has officially surpassed the lifetime collection of Kangana Ranaut's Emergency. The biopic drama had collected a total of Rs 18.35 crore net in India.
Besides Kajol, the latest mythological horror also stars Ronit Roy, Indraneil Sengupta, Jitin Gulati, and Kherin Sharma in the pivotal roles. The film revolves around a mother, played by Kajol, and her daughter as they encounter a demon in a village where girls have been disappearing.
