The wait is over as Netflix finally gave fans what they’ve been waiting for, the first look at Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. The teaser, released Sunday, sets the tone for The Witcher Season 4, which will arrive on October 30, 2025. All eight episodes are expected to drop in one go, just in time for Halloween binge sessions.
In the clip, Liam’s Geralt is seen facing off against a wraith, a ghostly figure straight out of nightmares. Sword swings don’t do much, so he leans into Witcher Signs — Aard for a pushback, Yrden for a trap.
Nothing seems to work until he grabs the spirit’s chest and crushes the glowing core, leaving only black dust in the air. A darker, grittier Geralt is clearly on the cards.

Fans React — Still Rooting for HenryThe change from Henry Cavill to Liam has been tough for long-time viewers, and the comments online reflect it.
One fan wrote, “Liam looks a lot like his brother here… my first thought was, ‘Thor visits the Continent!’ I’ll give Liam a chance, but Henry was perfect for the part.”
Another compared it to a franchise without its main star: “This TV show without Henry Cavill is like Pirates of the Caribbean without Johnny Depp!!”
But not all reactions were negative. A user admitted, “I miss Henry already because he did an amazing job. But damn, Liam looks really good as Geralt here, the music and scene direction also seem neat. Let’s see how this goes.”
Apart from Liam, the upcoming season brings back familiar faces like Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as Jaskier. New names include Laurence Fishburne, who joins in a pivotal role, along with Eamon Farren, Anna Shaffer, Mimî M Khayisa, and Cassie Clare.
Season 4 drops October 30, and for better or worse, Liam’s Geralt will be at the center of all conversations once the episodes land.
