TV actor Ashish Kapoor was arrested from Pune in connection with an alleged rape case. He is a well known actor in the TV circuit and has plenty of projects to his credit. Here are some lesser known facts about the actor.

Alternate profession and acting career.

Ashish Kapoor was a trained interior designer before acting and is known for several high-profile relationships. Ashish trained as an interior designer before entering the television industry. He has previously commented on the importance of having a backup plan due to the instability of an acting career.

He made his debut in 2010 with the horror television series Ssshhh... Phir Koi Hai, where he played the main lead, Vikram. In a short span of time, he impressed the audience and went on to win an award for the Best Fresh New Face – Male. He also won an award for his role as Prince Udayveer in Dekha Ek Khwaab.

Relationships

Ashish dated an Albanian model. He was in a two-year relationship with Ilda Kroni. Their relationship reportedly ended on a bitter note in early 2020. He was also in a relationship with actress Priyal Gor. During the making of Dekha Ek Khwaab in 2012, Ashish Kapoor was in a relationship with the actress who was 18 at the time. After they broke up, Ashish stated that they remained friends.

He was engaged to television creative producer and writer Pearl Grey in April 2021. The two met on the sets of Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya 2, where he played the role of Adarsh.

Ashish and Grey got matching tattoos that read ‘till death do us apart’. However, they broke up a year later. Before his breakup with Pearl Grey, Ashish had mentioned his desire to get married, but later said he was not in the right state for a relationship.

Current case

Following his recent arrest, Ashish Kapoor deleted his social media accounts.

The rape allegations against Ashish  evolved after his arrest. The woman who filed the complaint initially named Ashish and several others in the FIR, but later revised her statement and accused the Yeh Rishta actor of the sexual assault.
