Bollywood actress Lara Dutta Bhupathi marked history by becoming the Miss Universe in 2000. The actress is now celebrating the landmark of 25 years since crowning the title. Lara also revealed that she was crowned on the day of her father’s birthday, doubling the celebration.
Lara Dutta took to her Instagram and shared a series of photos from the puja that she recently held to celebrate the occasion. Alongside the photos, she penned, “Yesterday was a day of roller coaster emotions….. the 12th of May…….. a significant day in my life! Not just my Dads birthday, but also the day I won Miss Universe 25 years ago!”
The caption continued, “Time certainly flies!!! Marked the day yesterday with a puja to celebrate my father’s life…… knowing full well how fleeting and fragile life is, it’s important to acknowledge and be grateful for the gifts the universe bestows upon us.”
She concluded the caption by writing, “Thank you for the love and for your companionship over the last 25 years!”
In the photos, the actress can be seen with her mother during the puja ceremony. She also added two photos from the moment she won the Miss Universe.
On the work front, the actress was last seen in the Hindi language drama, Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyonn. She was starred alongside Ashutosh Rana, Ashish Vidyarthi, Jimmy Shergill, Aakanksha Singh, Mir Sarwar, Prasanna, Sikandar Kharbanda, among others.
However, the actress will be next seen in the star-studded Welcome To the Jungle with Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sanjay Dutt, and Disha Patani in the pivotal roles.
