New song SPAGHETTI faces backlash

LE SSERAFIM is making waves once again, this time with what fans are calling the “most iconic diss track of the year.” The K-pop girl group has teamed up with BTS’ J-Hope for their new single SPAGHETTI, released on October 24, and the internet can’t stop talking about it.

At first glance, the music video for SPAGHETTI appears playful and unserious, but a closer look at the lyrics reveals a sharp message aimed at haters and online critics. The verses, brimming with attitude, confidence, and signature LE SSERAFIM sass, have been interpreted as a bold clapback to those who have tried to drag the group down in recent months.

Lines like “Stuck in your mind, that’s SSERAFIM / Bad b**ch in between your teeth / Just give up, you know you will / Eat it up, eat it, eat it up,” and “Whatever I’m cookin’, I’m like a star / I’ll cook any course you want / I’m the main character in your kind of drama / Your guilty pleasure, your high-calorie Hershey chocolate,” are being hailed as clever wordplay.

Netizens were quick to point out how SPAGHETTI playfully mocks the critics who “pretend to hate but can’t stop watching.” J-Hope’s rap verse fits seamlessly into the concept.

One section that especially stood out to fans was, “Yeah, you just say you hate it / What happened to your diet? / Sneaking a bite when no one’s looking / You better stop lying.”

While SPAGHETTI fires back at detractors, fans have also highlighted the contrast between the track and LE SSERAFIM’s other new song, Pearlies.

"the first song’s a subtle diss to the ones who can’t stop hating but lurking the second’s a love letter to the ones who stayed through it all and helped them rise again oh le sserafim may your trials end in full bloom," noted a fan.

“i’m so glad le sserafim finally got to release a song like this, it was a bout time they addressed the ppl constantly keeping up with them every comeback despite claiming they hate ssera y’all can’t get enough of them and it shows” noted another.
