BTS member SUGA aka Min Yoongi turned 33 on Monday and received sweet tributes from his bandmembers and ARMY.

BTS leader RM took to his social media and shared a cute, never-before-seen photo of his hyung, lying down and resembling a mandu (dumpling), a moniker his mother and fans have given the rapper.

Sharing the picture, he penned, “HBD.”

Just a few hours after RM’s birthday post, J-Hope also posted a video of what appeared to be the interior of BTS's rehearsal room, where members of the group were gathering for a brief celebration.

Everyone performed the traditional song for the birthday boy when he arrived, but because SUGA is a shy boy, he avoided their gaze and silently thanked them as his colleague member laughed and recorded the video. The birthday celebration was attended by the dancers, employees, bodyguards, and potentially all of their teammates.

SUGA started a livestream later in the day to engage with his followers. He cut two cakes, one with flowers and a cat candle and the other with a black cat cake that looked like his pet Tang, and clapped for himself.

During the live stream, SUGA saw multiple comments in the chat that mentioned Ramadan and chose to respond to them while having a casual conversation with fans.

The K-pop singer said, “There are those observing Ramadan and fasting. My understanding is that you can eat once the sun sets during Ramadan, is that wrong? I also have my first meal after sundown."

Further in the live session, the singer reiterated that the crew is now extremely busy, with just a few days remaining until their grand comeback and a special livestream scheduled for the following day. He reassured the ARMY that they may look forward to the release.

BTS will release their 14-track fifth studio album, ARIRANG, on March 20, 2026. There will be a live performance titled BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG on March 21. After that, the K-pop boy band will embark on a global tour that will begin in their native nation on April 9 and include 34 cities and 81 stops on their way back.
