ALLDAY PROJECT’s Annie reveals deep family ties with K-Drama star Lee Seo Jin

The latest episode of SBS’s variety show My Too-Picky Manager – Secretary Jin delivered an unexpected revelation about rookie idol Annie from the boy-girl group ALLDAY PROJECT. The show, which featured actor Lee Seo Jin and Kim Kwang Gyu overseeing the group, took an intriguing turn when Annie opened up about her longstanding personal connection with Lee Seo Jin.

Annie has already captured public curiosity for her elite background. She is widely known as the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group chairwoman Lee Myung Hee and the eldest daughter of chairwoman Chung Yoo Kyung. However, the episode revealed that her family's ties to the entertainment industry run deeper than many realised.

During the broadcast, Annie revealed that Lee Seo Jin has known her family since childhood and has been a familiar presence in her life since the day she was born. According to her, the actor was such a regular visitor to their home that she often called him “Uncle.”

Lee Seo Jin himself confirmed the close bond, sharing on the show, “I’ve known Annie’s mother since elementary school and her father since high school. I’ve known Annie since the day she was born. I’m so glad she’s doing well.”

The episode also brought to light a surprising anecdote behind the noticeable scar on Lee Seo Jin’s face. It's a story that unfolded inside Annie’s family home. Lee recounted the incident with humour, saying, “Annie’s mom was away on a business trip, and her dad and I were drinking. We went to sleep, and the next morning her dad woke me up saying, ‘Hyung, what happened to your face?’ Turns out my face was bleeding. Annie said, ‘Oh? You’re bleeding.’”

Lee Seo Jin also praised Annie’s father for his intelligence and diverse interests. He noted, “He was smart from a young age, knew a lot, and was curious about everything. Did you know he plays guitar? He once gifted me the same guitar used by my favorite band’s guitarist. It’s always fun meeting him because he knows so much.”

The episode concluded with yet another heartwarming moment when Annie made a surprise video call to her younger sister, Moon Seo Jin, whose resemblance to Annie quickly became a talking point among viewers.
