Khushi Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi, recently shared a funny story about her limited experience with auto-rickshaws. While promoting her upcoming film, Loveyapa, with co-star Junaid Khan on Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiyaa’s podcast, Khushi revealed that her parents had forbidden her from taking autos.
"I have taken an auto but within the house campus," she admitted, leaving the hosts surprised. She explained that the only other times she'd ridden in an auto were "sometimes when we are travelling to Madh Island for a shoot, we take auto then."
Khushi's parents were against her using public transport like autos, so her rides were confined to the grounds of her home. "Actually, I was not allowed to take an auto. My parents were against it. So I used to take autos within the campus," she said.
The conversation also touched upon Junaid Khan's experiences with public transport. He shared that he used to travel frequently by auto without being recognized as Aamir Khan's son.
He even recounted a time when he was at the same traffic signal as his father. While they briefly acknowledged each other, Junaid chose not to make a fuss, allowing him to blend in and maintain his anonymity.
Khushi's relationship with her father, Boney Kapoor, seems to be quite close. In a separate interview with SCREEN, she described him as the most "luxurious" person she knows.
"He is the star of the house, in my opinion. He is bigger than all of us. He is the biggest diva, actor—everything, it’s him," she said. She even shared a humorous anecdote about his involvement in the film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Despite having a small role, Boney Kapoor apparently packed 13 suitcases full of clothes for the shoot in Delhi. "I realized he had packed his entire wardrobe for the film. He wore his own clothes on screen," Khushi recalled. She added that when she visited him on set, he was dressed exactly as he would be at home. "I thought, ‘Is he on a movie set, or is he just chilling at home?’ He is the most relaxed and luxurious person I have ever met," she said.
Khushi also revealed that Boney Kapoor has a significant influence on her life decisions. She previously told the same publication that he has the final say in most matters.
On the professional front, Khushi Kapoor is gearing up for her Bollywood debut in Loveyapa, which is scheduled to release on February 7. The film marks a significant milestone in her career, and fans are eagerly waiting to see her on the big screen.
