Singer and songwriter Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently sparked romance rumours with their frequent outings and dinner dates, becoming one of the fans’ favourite couples. However, the recent reports have suggested that they have already parted ways.

According to The Daily Mail, Katy and Justin Trudeau are no longer talking after weeks of nonstop texting. A source close to the couple revealed that their communication has "waned in the past two weeks". The source attributed the duo’s demanding careers and a fundamental discomfort with the accompanying media frenzy.

The source said, “She's busy, he's busy. They have a lot going on, and the newness has worn off. But there's nothing negative about it. They just aren't in constant communication anymore. That could change, but for now, it is what it is. It has cooled off. They still have nothing bad to say about each other, and in fact I feel like she's been saying really nice things about him.”

The source further noted, “Here's the thing, if you're going to be with Katy, you have to deal with the paparazzi and the fallout. I don't know how prepared he was for that. It can be a lot and it can be overwhelming.”

Meanwhile, another source has suggested that Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are just friends. “She isn't ready to start dating anyone right now, she has to continue to focus on her healing from separating from Orlando,” added the insider.

Katy and Justin sparked romance speculations after they were photographed enjoying a dinner at a restaurant in Montreal, Canada, in July. Their highly anticipated "dinner date" occurred just weeks after she called it quits on her engagement to Orlando Bloom, with whom she has a daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, 4.

Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau was previously married to Sophie Gregoire, a 50-year-old former TV host. After eighteen years of marriage, they declared their separation in August 2023. They share three kids together, Xavier (17), Ella-Grace (16), and Hadrien (11).
