Karan Johar recently shut down a troll who accused him of using Ozempic, a diabetes drug, to achieve rapid weight loss.

The accusations surfaced after Maheep Kapoor made comments about the drug in the Netflix show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, sparking a conversation about the misuse of Ozempic for weight loss purposes.

The troll took to X (formerly Twitter), referencing Maheep Kapoor’s remarks from the show. In the post, the troll wrote, “Maheep rightly called out people for using Ozempic for fast weight loss and driving it out of stock for people with diabetes. Hope she calls out Karan Johar too, the producer of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives.”

The insinuation was that Karan himself might be using the drug, which is meant for type 2 diabetes management, to shed pounds quickly.

Karan Johar, known for his witty social media presence, did not let the accusation slide. He reshared the post on his Instagram story and directly addressed the troll, sarcastically asking, “Being healthy and eating well and reinventing the wheel of your own nutrition! Aur Ozempic ko mile credit???” Tagging Maheep Kapoor, he added, “Did you mean me???”

Maheep Kapoor, who was dragged into the conversation, quickly responded by resharing Karan's story on Instagram, accompanied by laughing emojis.

In good spirits, Karan reposted her reaction, jokingly stating, “You’re laughing? I am offended!” Maheep responded once again with more laughing emojis and the playful comment, “You crazy man!!” She also added a sticker saying “No” to clarify her stance.

This playful banter between Karan Johar and Maheep Kapoor entertained their followers while effectively addressing the troll’s baseless claims.

Meanwhile, the third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, which features Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari Soni, Seema Sajdeh, and Bhavana Pandey, launched on October 18.
