The visual spectacle of 'Kantara: Chapter 1' is set to be an immersive experience. Director of Photography Arvind Kashyap has confirmed that the much-anticipated prequel has been filmed specifically for IMAX.

Kantara Chapter 1 under the banner of Hombale Films on has become one of the most anticipated movies to be released this year.

Since the movie will also be released in IMAX format, the filmmakers are doing everything they can, to give the audience a unique visual experience.

The makers of the movie took to their social media handle to share a thrilling poster of the movie and also to announce the IMAX release of the film.

In the captions they wrote, “ From sacred roots, a legend awakens..

Witness #KantaraChapter1 exclusively in @IMAX from OCTOBER 2nd worldwide.

A one-of-its-kind cinematic experience awaits you all."

The director of Photography Arvind Kashyap in the middle of the rising excitement of the movie, shared an interesting story about about how the film was shot in IMAX and PXl format.

Speaking about the same he said, “We shot several key portions specifically for IMAX and PXL formats. Watching it on IMAX will be truly unparalleled — a one-of-its-kind cinematic experience."

With the help of national and international experts, the creators have assembled a comprehensive battle story for Kantara: Chapter 1, which includes 3,000 people and more than 500 expert fighters.

One of Hombale Films' most ambitious projects is Kantara: Chapter 1. The film's strong visual and emotional narrative has been shaped by the creative team, which also includes production designer Vinesh Banglan, cinematographer Arvind Kashyap, and music director B. Ajaneesh Loknath.

This become one of the largest sequences in Indian cinema history, it was shot over 45 to 50 days in a town that covered 25 acres on rough terrain.

Kantara Chapter 1 is scheduled to have a worldwide release on October 2 . 2025.
