While technical aspects have received mixed feedback, audiences on X are praising the film’s reverence for Lord Shiva, strong performances, and a deeply emotional climax that resonates beyond the screen.

    With a strong foundation in Sanatan dharma and Shiv Bhakti, the movie has an emotionally stirring ending that leaves viewers speechless and in awe.

    Finally making its big screen debut, Kannappa appears to be more than just a film but it's a spiritual experience, according to early reviews by netizens on X. Despite conflicting technical reviews, viewers have praised the mythological epic for its powerful performances, intense respect for Lord Shiva, and emotionally charged finale.

    The climax is praised by many, particularly devotees, as one of the most poignant scenes in recent Indian films.

    With a strong foundation in Sanatan dharma and Shiv Bhakti, the movie has an emotionally stirring ending that leaves viewers speechless and in awe. With memorable cameos by Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Akshay Kumar, and high praise from none other than Rajinikanth, the film soars in its second half, though some VFX misfires and sluggish pacing in the first half hold it back. One user wrote, "Last 40 min of  #Kannappa is SPECTACULAR…. I have never seen anything like this before, it’s a film made for SHIV BHAKTS those who believe in SHIV LEELA, and those who are proud SANATANI…"

    With memorable cameos by Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Akshay Kumar, and high praise from none other than Rajinikanth, the film soars in its second half, though some VFX misfires and sluggish pacing in the first half hold it back.     Described by many as “made for Shiv Bhakts,” Kannappa offers a deeply spiritual and emotionally overwhelming experience—especially in its final 30 minutes. "Last 40 minutes of #Kannappa are PURELY SPECTACULAR! Never seen anything like this on Indian screens before.     Despite Kannappa's  uneven narrative and visual hiccups, viewers are leaving with teary eyes and full hearts. Viewers are describing the film's last act as "spine-chilling" and "spectacular," drawing comparisons to Kantara's spiritual intensity. Another netizen wrote, "Just watched #Kanappa, and I still can’t shake off the last 30 minutes from my mind. The only time I’ve felt something this intense was during the climax of #Kantara. Audiences - especially devotees of Lord Shiva will be left in tears. The climax is spine-chilling,  emotionally overpowering and goosebumps inducing. The film is long and the first half suffers due to its slow pace. But the interval block, terrific #Mohanlal’s sequence, #Prabhas Fantastic cameo, and above all, the climax, take the film to another level altogether."

    Many viewers have drawn parallels between Kannappa's climax and the emotional impact of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara. Echoing the same raw intensity and spiritual depth, Kannappa builds toward a thunderous, soul-stirring finale that channels unwavering devotion and leaves audiences visibly moved.
