The trailer for the much-anticipated film 'Pushpa: The Rule' was dropped by the makers on Sunday, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil. While fans were excited to see the trio reprise their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, one new character in the trailer caught everyone's attention. Here's all you need to know about the Kannada actor who plays this intriguing new role.

WHO IS TARAK PONNAPPA?

Tarak Ponnappa has appeared in several hit Kannada films, including 'KGF: Chapter 1' and 'Chapter 2', where he played the character Daya. He was also recently seen in Koratala Siva's 'Devara: Part 1', starring Jr NTR, where he portrayed the antagonistic, Pasura, the son of Saif Ali Khan's character, Bhaira. Fans who recognized him in the 'Pushpa 2' trailer quickly began making memes, calling him "Bhaira's koduku" (Bhaira's son). His role in 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is still under wraps, leaving fans eager to see what he brings to the film.

Tarak Ponnappa has appeared in several popular Kannada films, including 'Ajaramara', 'Kannada Deshadol', 'Yuvarathnaa', 'Kotigobba 3', and 'Gilky', among others. In addition to his success in Kannada cinema, he has also worked in Telugu films, with notable roles in 'CSI Sanatan' and 'Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad'.

The trailer of 'Pushpa 2' was released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali, expanding the film's reach to a wider audience. The Telugu version alone has garnered an impressive 40 million views, while the Hindi version crossed 28 million views within the first 24 hours.

The event was attended by lead actors Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, along with the producers and distributors. However, director Sukumar was unable to attend the launch due to health reasons.
