Kannada actor Darshan, popularly known as ‘Challenging Star’, has been arrested in Mysuru in connection with a murder case.

Kannada actor Darshan, popularly known as ‘Challenging Star’, has been arrested in Mysuru in connection with a murder case.

According to sources, Darshan has been held for his alleged involvement in the murder of Renuka Swamy from Chitradurga. It is reported that Renuka allegedly sent inappropriate messages to actress Pavithra Gowda.

There were reports Darshan, who is already married, is rumoured to be in a relationship with actress Pavithra Gowda.

Darshan's wife, Vijaya Lakshmi, criticized Pavithra Gowda and had also shared photos of Pavithra with another man named Sanjay Singh.

According to reports, Renuka Swamy used to comment on Pavitra Gowda's post. Renuka was found murdered on June 8 and locals discovered the body on June 9.

Though initial reports suggested that Renuka had died by suicide but the investigations revealed he was murdered.

Darshan is in police custody and during interrogation it was revealed that Renuka was killed on the instructions of actor Darshan. He was killed in front of Darshan and was hit with weapons at the garage of Darshan's residence. Darshan has been brought to Kamakshipalya where the complaint has been filed.

10 others have also been arrested along with Darshan.
