The producers of Kalki 2898 AD, Swapna Dutt, and Priyanka Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies have announced the timeline for the film's sequel. According to a report by News18, the shooting is scheduled to start in early 2025. During the Moscow International Film Week, the producers expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming project, noting that the mood on set will be more charged with excitement than nerves this time around.
Priyanka Dutt shared, "The filming will start in the next five or six months, likely in January or February 2025. Once production begins, we’ll have more details to share."
Swapna Dutt added, "This time around, there’s a lot more excitement than nervousness. We’re going into this with better planning. For the first part, we were all just following Nag Ashwin’s vision, and many things only made sense once we saw the final visuals. Now that we’ve seen the results and the audience’s reaction, we’re approaching part two with a whole new energy."
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD features an all-star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Kamal Haasan.
