With just days to go before their big-screen pairing makes its debut, Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra are leaving no stone unturned to promote their upcoming romantic drama Param Sundari.

The film, directed by Tushar Jalota and backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, releases on 29 August, and anticipation is running high.

In the middle of their packed schedule, the team made a spiritual detour to Shirdi. A video shared online shows Janhvi bowing before Sai Baba, followed by Sidharth, with director Tushar Jalota and producer Dinesh Vijan accompanying them.

Janhvi looked graceful in a peach floral suit, while Sidharth opted for a simple blue kurta-pyjama. Fans flooded the comments with wishes, writing messages like “Om Sai Ram” and “Best of luck for Param Sundari.”

The makers also opened advance bookings on Wednesday, and the initial response has been positive. According to a Pinkvilla report, by 11 pm on 27 August, the film had already sold more than 12,000 tickets across PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis on its very first day of pre-sales.

Trade analysts expect momentum to pick up through the week, with numbers potentially closing at around 40,000 tickets sold by release day.

The film’s buzz has been further fuelled by its music. The song Pardesiya, sung by Sonu Nigam, has already become a chartbuster, while teasers and promotional clips have struck a chord with audiences.

The film is expected to open with collections in the range of Rs 7–8 crore net on Friday, with word-of-mouth likely playing a crucial role in sustaining its run.

For Janhvi and Sidharth, Param Sundari marks an important collaboration, combining her youthful energy with his established stardom.

With blessings sought, strong advance sales, and a chart-topping soundtrack backing it, the film looks set for a promising start. The big question now is how audiences respond once it hits the big screen.
