Superstar Rajinikanth and Nandamuri Balakrishna will be grandly honoured at IFFI 2025 for 50 wonderful years in the movies. Rajinikanth and Nandamuri Balakrishna are two of the most prominent actors in Indian film, and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will commemorate them.
At the end of the festival, both stars will be honored for their 50 years of great work in the film industry. Dr. L. Murugan, the Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, and Pramod Sawant, the Chief Minister of Goa, made the announcement.
He stated, "Legendary actors Rajinikanth and Nandamuri Balakrishna will be honored for completing 50 years in cinema, marking a milestone that celebrates their enduring influence on Indian film culture." He talked about how the two would always be remembered and how popular they were around the world.
The IFFI 2025 will take place from November 20 to 28. This year's closing event will be a star-studded tribute to the two greats. Dr. Murugan added that the award acknowledges not only their long careers but also the way they have changed Indian film throughout the years.
The movie Apoorva Ragangal, which came out in 1975, was Rajinikanth's first. He turned 50 this August. We last saw the famous person in Coolie, which Lokesh Kanagaraj directed. This was his 171st film.
He is getting ready for Jailer 2, which comes out on June 12, 2026. He also has a movie with Kamal Haasan that is waiting for a director to be chosen. Tatamma Kala was Nandamuri Balakrishna's first movie. It came out in 1974.
He has since made more than 100 movies, some of which are successes, such Samarasimha Reddy, Simha, Aditya 369, and Muddula Mavayya. The last time anyone saw the actor, who is also an MLA for the ruling TDP in Andhra Pradesh, was in Daaku Maharaj. Akhanda 2, his next big movie, will come out on December 5.
