Hrithik Roshan, one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, has a jam-packed year ahead. While he is currently busy shooting for War 2, part of the YRF Spy Universe, fans are also eagerly awaiting the next chapter in his superhero franchise, Krrish 4. The actor, who is set to wrap up War 2 in April 2025, will move on to the long-awaited Krrish 4 shoot soon after. According to reports, Hrithik will begin shooting for Krrish 4 in the summer of 2025, once he finishes his commitments to the action-packed spy thriller.
The buzz surrounding War 2 is immense, and for good reason. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film is gearing up for a grand release in 2025. The movie, which also stars Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR, is a sequel to the 2019 hit War. Sources suggest that the makers are planning to wrap up the film by April 2025, with a final schedule dedicated to high-octane action sequences. Mukerji reportedly wants these scenes to surpass the thrilling stunts seen in the first film, making this the most action-packed segment of the movie. Once War 2 is completed, Hrithik will seamlessly transition to Krrish 4, a project that has been in development for several years.
The Krrish franchise, which has captivated audiences since Koi Mil Gaya (2003), continued with Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the series has been a massive success, with Hrithik Roshan playing the iconic superhero. However, in an interview earlier this year, Rakesh Roshan, who has directed all previous installments, announced his retirement from direction. Although he will not be helming Krrish 4, he assured fans that he would continue to be involved as a producer for the upcoming film. The project will be directed by Karan Malhotra, best known for his work on Agneepath (2012).
