Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will collaborate for War sequel

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan, who will reprise his iconic role of Kabir in the much-anticipated YRF Spy Universe War 2, took to his social media handle to announce that he is planning an explosive birthday celebration for Jr. NTR on May 20, 2025.

Hrithik’s post read, “Hey @tarak9999, do you think you know what to expect on the 20th of May this year? Trust me, you have NO idea what’s in store. Ready?”

Hrithik Roshan ignited the speculations that there will be a major reveal from War 2 — the second installment of the franchise being directed by the celebrated young filmmaker Ayan Mukerji.

Earlier, during his US tour, Hrithik Roshan spoke about War 2. “Bohot darr raha tha main part 2 kaisi hogi. I have to say I am extremely proud of this film. Ek gaana bacha hai bas. The film is shot. That song is with Jr. NTR and me, which I am going back to now and I hope I do well. I am nervous; he is amazing. This film is going to be bigger and better than War. That’s my promise to you,” he said.

War 2 brings together two of the biggest icons of Indian cinema—Hrithik Roshan as the daredevil Kabir and pan-Indian superstar Jr. NTR. The film is slated for a release on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.

The YRF Spy Universe is the biggest IP of Indian cinema today, having only delivered blockbusters with all its titles, like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. War 2 is the sixth YRF Spy Universe film to release.
