Hrithik Roshan girlfriend Saba Azad on her post-breakup relationship with Imaad Shah: ‘There was never any weirdness’

Songs of Paradise actress Saba Azad, who is currently dating Hrithik Roshan, recently talked about her past relationship.

She parted ways with Imaad Shah in 2020 after several years of dating.

The actress reflected on her relationship with Imaad and how it never felt like a dramatic goodbye.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, both Saba and Imaad talked about their past relationship.

Imaad said, “When we split, many said we shouldn't meet for a while. But it felt more like an evolution than an ending. By the time it was officially over, there wasn't much heartache.”

Saba admitted that love doesn't go away unless a bitter breakup. She added, “Unless someone has treated you badly, how do you stop loving them? It transforms into something else—a beautiful, platonic friendship where you always have each other's back.”

Saba then noted her and Imaad’s bond is like a ‘family’. She said, “We were like, to hell with that, it's our family. There was no way I was going to let Imz out of my life. We were very clear that we'd be friends forever—grow old together as friends.”

Imaad further suggested that their relationship got better after their break-up, to which Saba also agreed. She explained that they are now “easier on each other, less judgmental, and way better friends."

Imaad added, "It's almost like we kept the good parts of our relationship and filtered out the rest."

Talking about the shift in their bond following the break-up, Saba noted, “There was never any weirdness. Not even for a second. It was so natural. Bless everyone with that, may everyone get that.”

For the unversed, Saba Azad is currently in a relationship with Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan. The couple made their relationship official in 2022 at Karan Johar's 50th birthday celebration.
