Fans were taken aback when Kylie Jenner made her official music debut, appearing as a featured vocalist on Terror Jr.'s most recent single, Fourth Strike, rather than on her own.
This collaboration is a special one, marking the tenth anniversary of her hugely popular beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics, and celebrating how far she’s come over the past decade.
The song builds on Terror Jr’s earlier hit Three Strikes, which some might remember from Kylie Cosmetics’ past campaigns.
Fourth Strike is especially remarkable because Kylie sings, delivering memorable lines like "One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right," before whispering the now-famous phrase, "King Kylie." It seamlessly integrates her music debut with her beauty empire, paying homage to the distinctive aesthetic of her cosmetics brand.
Alongside the song, Kylie released a new commercial for Kylie Cosmetics that’s full of nostalgic vibes. The ad is drenched in teal—the same colour that became synonymous with her “King Kylie” era back in 2014.
In a fun twist, Kylie plays a recently freed prisoner, and her mum Kris Jenner is there to pick her up in a sleek black convertible. The whole campaign captures that bold, rebellious spirit Kylie’s known for, tying her brand’s relaunch to this exciting new musical step.
To mark her brand’s tenth birthday, Kylie also announced the return of several fan-favourite products under the “King Kylie” collection.
Sharing the news on social media, she said, “This King Kylie Collection is truly for you!!!” She added, “You're the reason my biggest cosmetic dreams came true, and I wouldn't be here 10 years later! without your support.”
For those curious, Terror Jr is a duo made up of Lisa Vitale and David “Campa” Benjamin Singer-Vine.
They first gained attention with Three Strikes in 2016, which sparked rumours Kylie was secretly the voice behind the track—though she denied it back then.
Now, years later, she’s officially joining forces with them on Fourth Strike, bringing her own voice to the mix.
Beyond music and beauty, Kylie is also set to appear in the upcoming A24 film The Moment, directed by Aidan Zamiri, alongside some exciting names like Charli XCX and Alexander Skarsgard.
