Actor and singer Zhao Lusi, who rose to fame for her role in Hidden Love, has been entangled in a public feud with her management agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment. She has recently accused her agency of financial abuse.
Zhao took to the Chinese social media platform Weibo and accused her agency of withdrawing 2.05 million yuan (approximately Rs 2.5 crore) from her personal studio's account without authorisation.
The actress further claimed that the agency agreed to cover the losses from the cancelled endorsements during 2024, but they backed out, leaving her to bear financial responsibilities alone. At the time, she was undergoing treatment for multiple health issues and depression.
The fact that Galaxy Cool Entertainment took 2.05 million from Zhao Lusi's studio while she was struggling with health issues is unacceptable! The actress was also reportedly warned against going public. Additionally, she claimed that she had received threats that she could be blacklisted from the entertainment industry if she sought legal action.
Zhao then encouraged her fellow artists to come forward and report their experiences to the police and wrote in Chinese, “You don’t need to blacklist me, I quit.”
However, Zhao’s agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment, responded to her allegations on Weibo on August 3. They denied any wrongdoing or breach of contract and expressed their shock.
The agency claimed that it was prioritising Zhao’s “wishes and well-being” following her illness. The post also claimed that the agency reportedly advised her to refrain from posting ambiguous content that might cause public confusion.
Zhao later reposted the agency’s statement on her own Weibo account and challenged their version of events and accusing them of abandoning her during her time of illness.

Zhao previously claimed that her physical and mental health reportedly deteriorated due to excessive workload. She also dropped her weight to 36 kg, and photos of her in a wheelchair went viral on social media in December 2024. Besides this, Zhao also temporarily lost her ability to speak and suffered frequent bouts of nausea, dizziness, and joint pain.
For the unversed, Zhao Lusi is known for her portrayal in The Romance Of Tiger And Rose and Love Like The Galaxy.
