Veteran actress and Member of Parliament, Hema Malini, has expressed immense joy and pride over the success of her stepson Sunny Deol’s latest film, Jaat. The action-packed entertainer, which released on April 10, has been receiving a warm response from both audiences and critics. During a recent event in Mumbai, Hema Malini, accompanied by her daughter Esha Deol, spoke about the overwhelming reception the film has garnered and shared how delighted Dharmendra is with his son’s success.
In a video shared by Instant Bollywood, Hema Malini can be seen beaming with pride while talking about the film. “I heard it is open with very big ah bumper. Bahot acha lag raha hai ki… logon ko bahot acha lag raha… Dharam ji bahot khush hai… so the film is so good I believe,” she said, emphasizing how emotional and proud the family feels about Jaat’s performance at the box office.
Esha Deol also joined in, echoing her mother’s sentiments and applauding Sunny Deol’s dedication. “I am so happy and it’s all his hard work and logon ka pyaar hai unke liye itna… toh I’m so happy that the film has opened big… that’s the way how it has to be with him always,” she said.
Sunny Deol, known for his larger-than-life action roles, makes a roaring comeback with Jaat, a film that has resonated with audiences for its high-octane sequences, mass appeal, and powerful dialogues. According to early box office reports, the film opened with a strong ₹9.5 crore on day one. As per Sacnilk.com, it registered an overall Hindi occupancy of 12.89% on April 10 — a solid figure for a solo action release.

Directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad, Naveen Yerneni, and Y. Ravi Shankar, Jaat features an ensemble cast including Randeep Hooda as the formidable antagonist. The film also stars Ayesha Khan, Saiyami Kher, Zarina Wahab, Bandhavi Sridhar, Vishika Kota, Vineet Kumar Singh, Dayanand Shetty, Jagapati Babu, and Babloo Prithiveeraj.
