The action thriller DNA in Tamil is about to make its digital debut after making waves in theaters. The film, which starred Atharvaa Murali and Nimisha Sajayan, was well-received for its compelling story and powerful performances when it debuted in theaters on June 20, 2025.

The creators have formally declared that on July 19, 2025, DNA will be available for streaming on JioHotstar. "From box office hit to your home screen - DNA streaming from 19th July on JioHotstar!" was the post that the streaming service used to confirm the news.

Overview of the Plot

DNA follows Divya, a vibrant woman with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and Anand, a man devastated by the death of his lover. Following a period of treatment, Anand becomes engaged to Divya, and despite her mental health issues, their union ends happily.

When their child is born and Divya insists the child is not hers, trouble starts. Anand decides to believe her and embarks on a risky quest for the truth, even though most people reject her worries as signs of her illness. What follows is a stressful and emotional journey to find out what happened to their baby and whether Divya's claim is real or imagined.

The cast and crew

Atharvaa Murali plays Anand in the movie, and Nimisha Sajayan plays Divya. Chetan, Ramesh Thilak, Balaji Sakthivel, Viji Chandrasekhar, Riythvika, Bose Venkat, Subramaniam Siva, Pasanga Sivakumar, and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub are among the supporting cast members.

The film was co-written by Athisha Vino and directed by Nelson Venkatesan. Ghibran wrote the background score, and five music directors—Sathyaprakash, Sreekanth Hariharan, Pravin Saivi, Sahi Siva, and Anal Akash—contributed to the soundtrack.
