Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King OTT release: Know when and where to watch the much-anticipated animated film on OTT

Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King, which premiered in theaters on December 20, 2024, is now gearing up for its much-awaited OTT release following a triumphant box office run.

Streaming audiences worldwide will soon be able to relive the epic adventure, mesmerizing music, and breathtaking visuals of Mufasa: The Lion King as the film arrives on JioHotstar on March 26.

Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Jenkins, the film features an all-new soundtrack by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including the viral hit I Always Wanted a Brother.

Since its theatrical release, Mufasa: The Lion King has captivated audiences globally, amassing over $700 million at the box office and securing a spot among the top 10 highest-grossing films of 2024.

Through the storytelling of Rafiki, young lion cub Kiara—daughter of Simba and Nala—learns the legend of Mufasa, with Timon and Pumbaa adding their signature humor along the way.

As they face formidable challenges and a deadly adversary, their bonds will be tested, shaping Mufasa into the legendary king he is destined to become.

The movie will exclusively stream on JioHotstar, joining other beloved titles from the franchise, including The Lion King (1994), The Lion King (2019), The Lion Guard, and the recently released The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl concert special.
