Miley Cyrus is all set to reprise her iconic role of Hannah Montana to mark the 20th anniversary of the Disney show. The makers have sent the fans into a frenzy with the release of the first look teaser of the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special.
The official social media handle of Disney+ shared the teaser with the caption, “Happy Hannah-versary! The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special premieres March 24 on Disney+. #HannahMontana20.”
The anniversary special will honour 20 years of the cherished show, which helped Miley become a global pop sensation.
The teaser offers glimpses of Miley in a Hannah Montana blonde wig strolling through the show's reconstructed sets. Among them were the Stewart family living room and the instantly identifiable Hannah Montana closet, where Miley Stewart famously changed into her pop star alter ego.
Miley and her mother, Tish Cyrus, are seen touring the sets in the preview. The special promises to take the viewer on a trip down memory lane with never-before-seen archival material from the original production.
The show, which will be filmed in front of a live studio audience, will feature a detailed discussion between Miley and Alex Cooper, the host of the well-known podcast Call Her Daddy.
Alex says in the teaser, “This show defined your generation,” to which Miley responded with a smile, “This anniversary is for them. It’s for us.”
The preview also showed the emotional burden of going back to the sets. Walking through the recreated spaces, Miley was heard saying, “Already getting emotional.”
The Grammy-winning singer will revisit some of the most iconic songs and events from the original series in the next special.

Additionally, Miley reunites with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who famously played her on-screen father in the series. They sat together in the recreated Stewart living room, with Miley reflecting on the experience, adding, “This feels like home to me.”
The teaser was released just hours after it was leaked online on social media.

For the unversed, the original Hannah Montana series aired between 2006 and 2011 for four seasons. It followed Miley Stewart, a girl who managed to juggle her regular life with her covert existence as Hannah Montana, a worldwide music sensation.
