Tangled is getting a live-action remake, and the makers have found Mother Gothel. Kathryn Hahn, known for her roles in Agatha All Along, Bad Moms, and more, has recently confirmed her casting in the film.
The actress took to her Instagram and shared a video revealing that she had just learned that "OOTD" means "Outfit of the Day," confirming her casting. She then displayed a T-shirt with cutouts of Donna Murphy's animated Mother Gothel on it.
Sharing the video, she penned in the caption, “OOTD, Mother Gothel.” The speculations further escalated after the official Instagram handle of Disney commented on her post with Tangled reference.
The comment reads, “We are all tangled up in excitement!”
Kathryn is all set to play the cunning villain who conceals Rapunzel from the public in order to take advantage of the princess's magical, long blonde hair's healing abilities.
Teagan Croft will play Rapunzel in the movie, while Milo Manheim will play Flynn Rider, the endearing criminal who assists the princess in escaping the tower where she has been held captive for years.

According to Deadline, two-time Oscar nominee Scarlett Johansson was previously considered for the part, but she reportedly had to decline because of scheduling conflicts with other films like The Batman Part II and a reboot of The Exorcist.
Jennifer Kaytin Robinson wrote the screenplay for Tangled, which will be directed by Michael Gracey, best known for The Greatest Showman. Kristin Burr and Lucy Kitada are among the project's producers.
Disney's Tangled was released in 2010 and was a great smash, earning over USD 590 million worldwide. The Brothers Grimm fairy tale Rapunzel served as the inspiration for the film.
The project is in early development, and filming is anticipated to start in the upcoming months, though Disney has not yet disclosed a release date.
