Diljit Dosanjh remembers Priyanka Chopra's endearing gesture she did for him at Met Gala: 'mera man bhar aya tha'

Diljit Dosanjh shared a pic from the Met Gala, featuring Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, and Shakira.

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh was the most loved attendee at the Met Gala earlier this year, and he joined Hollywood and Bollywood biggies this time.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, actress Kiara Advani made their Big Met Gala debuts this year but Diljit Dosanjh stood out among all of them.

He took home the top spot in Vogue's Best-Dressed celebrity category for the most noted night in fashion.

In a recent interaction with BBC Asian Network, Diljit recalled the most heartwarming gesture by Priyanka Chopra that day.

Diljit also shared some anecdotes from the Met Gala dinner and said: "When I went to my table, there was another sardaar boy who helped me a lot. I didn’t know anyone there. I hadn’t been to any parties before. But he came to my table and served me everything. He was actually serving food there."

Remembering the kind gesture Priyanka Chopra had made and how it had touched him, he said: "Thanks to Priyanka Chopra Main jab gaya toh voh vahan they already and Priyanka also came to me and said, 'Diljit main idhar hi baithi hoon, tere ko kisi bhi cheez k zarurat ho just say PC and main jaldi se aa jaungi.' Aur mera tabhi mann bhar aaya tha ("Thanks to Priyanka Chopra, when I went there, she was already there. Priyanka also came to me and said, 'Diljit, I'm sitting right here, if you need anything, just call PC and I'll come quickly.' And I felt so touched.")

At the Met Gala, Priyanka was seen with her husband, musician Nick Jonas. The internet was inundated with their blue carpet photos in no time.

Pregnant Kiara Advani also showed off her growing baby bump in a stunning black gown, while Shah Rukh commanded attention in his all-black Sabyasachi inspired suit.

Diljit, meantime, is waiting for the release of Sardaar Ji 3, his next film, to be released. The movie has run into controversy following the inclusion of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Although it will not be released in India, the film, which co-stars Neeru Bajwa, will be released worldwide on June 27.
