A public prayer meeting will be held in New Delhi on December 11 to pay tribute to the late actor Dharmendra, one of Hindi cinema’s most enduring and influential stars. The family has issued a formal invitation for colleagues, friends, and well-wishers to gather and offer prayers in his memory.

The meeting is scheduled from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre on Janpath. The venue, often used for state and cultural events, is expected to see a significant turnout given Dharmendra’s stature and the wide network of people he worked with across his six-decade career.

The memorial is being hosted by Hema Malini, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani, and Ahana Deol and Vaibhav Vohra. The family has also circulated an online registration form to streamline arrangements, urging attendees to confirm their presence in advance.

Dharmendra, remembered for landmark performances in films such as Sholay, Satyakam, Chupke Chupke and Yaadon Ki Baaraat, was widely regarded as an actor who balanced mass appeal with strong dramatic range.
