Jr NTR’s highly anticipated action film Devara: Part 1 has seen a significant drop in its Kerala box office collections as it completes its first week.

According to reports from Sacnilk, the film managed to earn only Rs 3 lakhs on its seventh day at the Kerala box office, a sharp decline from the Rs 10 lakhs it made on day six. Over the course of seven days, the film has garnered a total of Rs 1.23 crores in Kerala, reflecting a lackluster performance in the state.

While Devara has struggled in Kerala, its worldwide performance has been far more impressive. In its first week, the movie has earned a staggering Rs 314.25 crores globally, with India contributing a significant portion of that sum. The film’s total India net collections stand at Rs 215.5 crores, with gross collections reaching Rs 246.75 crores. of Telugu-speaking regions, Devara has been a massive success, minting Rs 164.25 crores in just seven days. The Hindi version of the film has also performed well, collecting Rs 43.75 crores. However, the film has seen less success in other language markets. In Karnataka, it has earned Rs 1.57 crores, while Tamil Nadu’s net box office collections stand at Rs 4.8 crores. Kerala, with just Rs 1.23 crores over seven days, remains the film’s weakest performing state.

The film’s lukewarm reception in Kerala seems to be influenced by a wave of mediocre reviews, which highlight the movie’s lackluster action sequences and issues with Koratala Siva’s direction. Despite strong performances from the cast, including Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, the film has been criticized for not meeting the high expectations set by its fans and the wider audience.
