Coldplay confirms third show in Mumbai Concert following ticket sell outs, details inside

After tickets for Coldplay's India tour in Mumbai sold out, the band responded to the overwhelming demand by announcing a third concert in the city. Taking to X, Coldplay confirmed the new concert date, much to the delight of their fans who missed out on the first two shows.

“Due to phenomenal demand, a third Mumbai date has been added at DY Patil Stadium for 21 January, 2025. Tickets on sale at 2PM IST today,” Coldplay posted on X.

The British band is set to return to India after nine years, with concerts scheduled at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium on January 18 and 19. Now the band has announced that the third show will be held on Janauary 21 due to the huge demand. However, fans experienced frustration when the BookMyShow platform crashed just as ticket sales were about to begin. Many took to the social media platform X to voice their disappointment over the situation.

It was earlier announced that tickets for Coldplay’s India tour would be available starting September 22. Additionally, the band will release a limited number of Infinity Tickets for the tour. Infinity Tickets are offered at every Coldplay concert to make the Music Of The Spheres World Tour more accessible, allowing fans to purchase tickets at an affordable price. Priced at the local equivalent of €20 (approximately INR 2000), these tickets must be purchased in pairs, with a maximum of two tickets per buyer.

According to the platform, the seating locations will remain a mystery until the day of the event when fans collect their tickets in person at the box office. The seats could be anywhere in the venue, from floor sections to upper levels or side views, ensuring a variety of seating possibilities.

BookMyShow Live confirmed that these special tickets will go on sale at 12 PM IST on Friday, November 22, 2024, via their platform. The unique aspect of Infinity Tickets is that the seating arrangements remain a surprise and will only be disclosed on the day of the concert.
