K-pop boyband ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo recently sent his fans into frenzy with the announcement of a new drama. He was slated to star in the upcoming K-drama by famous Hong sisters.
The announcement brought a storm on the internet as the screenwriting duo is known for crafting hit fantasy and romance K-dramas that have captivated audiences worldwide. However, Cha Eun Woo has reportedly turned down the offer.
According to Sports Chosun, Cha Eun Woo has reportedly rejected the offer to star in the drama series. He is yet to reveal the exact reason for turning down the project. However, it seems that he has other prior commitments that have taken on priority.
The upcoming series was expected to feature actress Go Min Si in the lead role. Meanwhile, screenwriters Hong Jung Eun and Hong Mi Ran, collectively known as the Hong sisters, have penned some of Korea's most beloved dramas, including Alchemy of Souls, Hotel Del Luna, and The Master's Sun, among others.

However, Cha Eun Woo is currently busy in filming the upcoming Netflix series. The Wonder Fools. He will star alongside Park Eun Bin.
Additionally, Cha Eun Woo has recently turned 28, which has sparked speculation about his upcoming military enlistment. As per South Korean law, all able-bodied men must serve in the military for approximately 18-21 months.
Fans are eagerly awaiting news on whether he'll enlist soon or take on more projects before his service, as many celebrities carefully plan their schedules around this requirement.
